(a) Population change is the number of people added to the total population in a year.

(c) Population was 84.64 crore in 1991. It increased to 102.87 crore in 2001, an addition of 18.2 crore in a decade
Population growth is the increase per annum. The population change is the difference in no. of inhabitants of a country during a specific period. The population growth can not be altered by the population composition. It is obtained by only subtracting the earlier population from the present population. If the result is positive, then there is a specific growth in population. The population change is the result of the difference between the births and deaths in a year, plus the migration from one part of the country to the other.
