I'm working and 28 year old but I am so much passionate about music and want to sing. But I never try to sing in public or any event. Also never learned. I also have stage fear. What should I do? From where I have to start?

If you practice more you will not have any fear on stage, and yes initially there will be, but you will definitely overcome it. Firstly I would like to know which type of singer you wanted to become so that I can guide you. If Carnatic classical music, there is a basic to the Ph.D. syllabus of devotional and vaggeyakaras compositions. If movie or playback singing, you should try karaoke tracks. You should sing something at least half an hour daily. Gradually it will be increased. Don't worry. Carnatic basics will help you to sing and it will helpful for vocal improvement. Sing one song every day in front of the mirror. Start going to karaoke shows regularly where it's all for fun and no one is judging you. Next step, join singing classes so you will have confidence that you are singing correctly. A good tutor will also give you few warm up exercises to relax your muscles before singing. I have seen singers start from being really nervous on stage to singing for one hour non stop on stage. This can be developed gradually. But this is good practice to learn music. Spare your free time to sing your song loudly. Also If you are fond playing musical instruments such as harmonium, sitar or piaono, flute anything try to grab one and learn atleast one instrument of your liking to play. This will build up your musical ear and knowledge. Oe more thing, try to participate in small events which could be helpful for you to overcome your stage fear.
