I want to do a course of SAP FICO. I have an experience of 8 years in Accounts Payable. But I'm in a dilemma whether to do that course or not because after completing the course I am unsure if the market will provide me the same salary or not. I am currently getting 8-9 lacs. Please resolve my query.

There are a lot of SAP Implemented. Companies will provide an option to work on domains like yours. Accounts payable + SAP know how to handle A/P processes on SAP system, though this is an option to secure your salary but surely will protect your current salary.

The next option is to learn FICO from Consulting skill perspective also pays you 8-9 lacs based on your domain + your strong foundational knowledge in SAP.
Maybe you can give a try in either of the options.

With eight years of end-user experience, you will have an edge, and you will get openings as FICO consultant after FICO course. Regarding salary, I would suggest not to expect the same salary initially because you are moving into a different role. Later, once you start working on SAP S/4 HANA Simple Finance, you will be paid a lot more.

Yes, your experience is good, and if you take a combination of SAP ECC 6.0f fico and s4 Hana simple finance, Hana for learning it will help to get a job in the industry. Now coming to your principal concern salary, chances are 50- 50 to get on the same salary but yes this is sure that SAP is the right career choice.
