Answer 
I would simply say "if there is a DATA there is a SAS". Needless to say, SAS has covered major portion of Analytics and leading in market share more than 30% as a most used and abused analytical tool. SAS has many core components based on analytics - SAS(Base), SAS(EG), SAS(DI), SAS(DQ), SAS(VA), SAS(Viya) and the list is long.
Most importanltly, SAS is a licensed based software which guarantees/ensures the end users for Data Privacy, Security, Support etc.
Last but not least: Data is everything - Let the master handle it.

Now a days, Analytics is highly in demand. And, the tools used in this field are SAS, R,Python etc. All of them are being interchageably by the organizations. SAS is definitely the market leader and is being used extensively in banking and life sciences domain. No doubt it is being used in other domains as well.
