Teaching for me is more than a job, it's my passion. I am an enthusiastic teacher who loves up skilling young minds. I am practicing my teaching for more than 10 years and being an internationally minded person, I respect students with different cultures and values. I am always eager to adapt changes and embrace new circumstances and challenges. I am a certified educator with qualification such as M.Ed.,B.Ed., TEFL/TESOL Certification, Jolly Phonics certification and Diploma in learning disabilities. As I believe in lifelong learning I would keep upgrading my skills and knowledge to provide best services. I am currently working as an academic coordinator for grades Nursery-5th. But going back to being a teacher, apart from inspiring, educating, guiding and teaching young learners there are many more jobs which I as a teacher have to perform. The most significant and vital role has been Curriculum Designing. Bringing curriculum to life has been my effort throughout my teaching career. The session for teachers every year begins during early April where we are engaged in activities such as professional development, team building activities, grade wise and level wise planning, yearly calendar making, curriculum planning, breaking curriculum into month wise and weekly manner, lesson planning, unit planning, discussing important events, collaboratively working on sports day event, annual day event, exhibitions etc. My job as a teacher has not ended here. I play an expansive role. I always take initiative in activities such as anchoring during the school events, organizing Student Led Conference (SLC) etc. For last two years, I have been elected as School Monthly News letter’s Head. Apart from teaching, there are some more roles which I as an educator have to perform in the classroom. Some of the roles are maintaining healthy relationship with child, their parents and co-mentors, taking online attendance, uploading pictures weekly on the class blogs, lesson planning, resource management, keeping the classroom well organized, understanding the different levels of students in the class (differentiation) and using best possible strategies to fulfill their needs, recognizing child with special education needs (SEN) and providing them suitable environment to learn, prepare students for monthly assembly presentation, evaluating and assessing student’s performance, preparing rubrics of different concepts, preparing developmental records, anecdotes, report cards, shooting videos on everyday basis, creating different ways of collecting more evidence of child’s journey etc. I always look forward to maintain a healthy relationship with each and every person at the institute and avoid distractions. I believe that time management is really an important key. Additionally, I believe maintaining healthy relationships and positive environment boosts your performance.
