I know how to speak a little English but not very well. I make a lot of grammatical mistakes also. I am not understanding that how I can remove this as I want to crack all interviews and be a good speaker but my grammatical mistakes are giving a lot of problems. Please help me to improve this.

First things first English is just another language. So don't confuse being a good speaker with being a good Communicator in the English Language. Perhaps, you are already an excellent communicator in your native language and just need to hone your spoken English skills. Here are a few tips to help you with this:

1) Listening to content in English. Unless you listen to excellent English, you cannot reflect it back verbally.

2) For some time switch over to English as your preferred language of communication (even if you make some mistakes!) which means listen to the news only in English and read newspapers and books only in English.

3) Practice short spontaneous speaking and record it on your phone. Listen to it and spot the errors. Make a note and correct them then and there

4) Last but not the lease: Strengthen your base of grammer. If you need help enroll with a teacher who can focus on the practical aspects of grammer. Lastly always learn English in English.

Hi Debashish,. Thank you for asking this question. What is commonly referred to as the personality is an outward representation of what is within. To give you an example- If I am low on confidence, this will manifest itself as poor body language, tone of voice and ability to respond clearly. On the other hand, if I am confident then automatically each outward signal that I send out reflects an ability to trust myself. As a result, when I reflect trust in my capabilities, other do too ? To answer your question about how to develop your personality, while there are many superficial quick fixes – they do not sustain. What works is developing from inside out. Eg. Learning to give yourself approval and acceptance will improve your confidence. Loving your self will create a sense of self workth and that is what confidence is. A lot of folks work the other way around and it does not bring sustainable results. And yes, like most of my friends pointed out- This has nothing to do with age!
