Hi,
If you understand the sound of strings/Piano/keys better it can be levraged. Try understand your pitch first and play the same scale/root note while you sing. The sound must back you up while singing and if you do practice everyday your mind will subconsiously start hitting the right frequency of sound exactly as piano. (This trick i have tried with may students while they start with piano and it worked)
