The minimum eligibility to pursue a Biotechnology course is Class 12 in the Science stream with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) subjects with 50% from a recognized board. While some colleges offer admission on merit basis, several institutions accept CUET, CUET PG, ICAR AIEEA, GPAT, etc., entrance exam scores.

BTech Biotechnology is a 4-year long course which consists of 8 semesters. It basically deals with basic engineering concepts which are applied in chemical engineering and applied biology.

Biotechnology are great courses for students with PCB and both offer promising future career opportunities. Students and parents need to make an informed decision supported by proper research, and data before making the final decision about the biotechnology course.
