This course is specifically designed for the students of Middle Year Programme of CBSE Board curriculum of Class 10th seeking to build strong foundation in Mathematics, required to improve their quantitative aptitude and reasoning skills which is essential not only to score good in the Board Exams but to prepare themselves for all the competitive exams at the school and graduate level exams.Â
The course is designed and spread over in such a manner so as to give the students ample time to practice, understand and get a strong command of the the subject with an overview of practical applications in real life situations.Â
The course delivery will be through a combination of interactive lectures wherein the students are encouraged and mandated to get involved in active participation and questioning, regular assessments and practice sessions.Â
The students are expected to complete the assignments given to them during the course of delivery. Students will learn how to read, understand, devise and communicate proofs of mathematical statements. By the end of the course students should be able to clearly convey mathematical ideas through their writing. The main objective of this course is to practice writing about mathematical topics such as its history, important solved and unsolved mathematical problems, and its relation to physics and other sciences.
As part of the course, students will also explore connections between secondary math and the higher-level mathematics courses they would be taking in future.
