Hello Prahlad, Network security, information security, and computer security (also known as cybersecurity) are all concerned with protecting data and systems, but they differ in their scope, focus, and the type of threats they address:
Network security
Protects data in transit across a network, and the network infrastructure itself. Network security uses firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other measures to protect against threats like DDoS attacks and trojans.
Information security
Protects data in all forms, regardless of location, throughout its lifecycle, including storage, processing, and transmission. Information security protects sensitive data like financial information, customer account details, and intellectual property.
Computer security (cybersecurity)
Protects systems, networks, and programs from cyber threats, such as malware, phishing, and ransomware. Cybersecurity protects data and systems in networks connected to the internet, and includes protecting user devices, databases, software applications, and user accounts.
