Section 7.1 – In this section, you will learn about the deforestation – clearing of forests and using that land for other purposes. Section 7.9 – In this section, you will learn about Red Data Book which is a sourcebook maintained to keep a record of all the endangered animals and plants. This databook is maintained internationally. You will learn about such Red Data Book being maintained in India for all the endangered species in India.
Section 7.10 – In this section, you will learn about the migration of birds to different regions due to climatic changes. You will learn that many birds fly away to other regions when the climate is adverse in a particular region and becomes inhospitable.
Section 7.11 – This section deals with Recycling of Paper. In this section, you will learn about the measures taken to prevent deforestation. You will also learn about recycling of paper to reduce the harmful effects of making paper and the cutting down of trees for paper making. You will also learn that recycling of paper will help to reduce the detrimental effects of deforestation and chemicals produced during papermaking.
Section 7.12 – This section deals with Reforestation. In this section, you will learn about the restocking of the destroyed forests by planting new trees. You will also learn about reforestation happening naturally. You will understand the importance of planting new trees, which will help to reduce the harmful effects of deforestation and to maintain a healthy balance in the ecology.
