I have applied in NPS for LKG for my kid and was waiting till March. I used to call and enquire the admission status every week, but at last I got a response on March as the admission process is done and you are not selected. I have applied in NPS for LKG for my kid and was waiting till March. I used to call and enquire the admission status every week, but at last I got a response on March as the admission process is done and you are not selected.
There is no clear reason or at least clues for the reason we got rejected in the selection process.
The school should be transparent so that parents need not get frustrated with too much of waiting and rejected status at the end. The approach towards the enquires is too arrogant as well. The response if as if parents did a mistake to them.
Myself and all my friends who applied along with me have no idea why all of us are rejected in the selection process.
If they know that, they have no seats available for the general category, why to take admission forms and fees from the parents and make them wait like this and feel bad at the end? Is this another way of making money? This really looks like a fraud process to make money.
Those parents who are waiting for the call, already lost admission in another schools as they have already closed the selection process. To have a backup plan, we should pay and reserve seats with high admission fees that might get wasted in case if we get a call here.

While I agree to most of what subho and gbnair said, I do not know a single person (or have even heard of one) who could get into NPS by paying money or using influence.
Yes, they should probably not allow so many applications (but then there will be a long queues for the limited number of forms). Yes, they should not charge for the applications if there is hardly any chance that we would get it (but that might be to discourage applications).
Yes, they could also make the process very much timebound and transparent, or at least responsive to our concerns and anxiety. But please do not blame about the money part without proof or knowledge.
We had been applying to them for last three years. We got it this year but they did not demand anything except for a DD for which a full amount receipt was immediately issued unlike most (if not all) of other schools in Bangalore.
Not getting into NPS is like not winnng a lottery. You cannot base your kids future plan on this school (please keep backup options) but if you get it, nothing like it.
In any case, there is no reason to blame the school especially consider the quality of education they impart and the other options available in the city. «less

Folks - am one of you anxious parents posting every day in the sodden hope that your child gets into this 'much sought after institution', I think we demean ourselves when we helplessly submit ourselves at the feet of these corrupt institutions (to be fair to NPS its not the only money-hungry hyena in the pack, even though its in a class by itself)

Despite the fact that most of us have come up the hard way and make enough to aspire to send our kids to such 'prestigious' schools, we do a disservice to ourselves by subjecting ourselves to such humiliating behavior. I had come to know of NPS and its highhandedness gradually after 'donating' rs 500 to each of the branches for the 'privilege' of applying to each of the branches, however what is one to do since the supply of so called 'good' schools are limited. What astounded me however is the total lack of respect for our time and the haughtiness that was on display; you try calling them since there is no clear communication on when the admission list is declared and all the minions who work here (who are equally arrogant by virtue of slaving for such an 'esteemed' institution) do is to let the phone ring on for a while before picking up the receiver and placing it off the hook. A school which has failed to instill such basic courtesy among its employees inspires a lot of hope in me that it will produce upstanding citizens. Their admission process reeks of opaqueness and hence corruption as they dont even publish a formal list of selected students on the notice board/website; is that because it limits their options of 'selling' seats to the highest bidder?

Enough said, am happy that I do not have to subject my child to the cherished 'values' that this school would instill. True that my rant does reflect the frustration of a parent who is yet to secure admission for his child but am glad that my hard earned money will not find its way into the coffers of this particular school «less

Guys- This is one of the worst schools I have every visited in B'lore they are money minded people- no values for students parents and teachers- I even heard that they don't give even one day leave for teachers except for Sunday . Principal is worst female no value for female candidates. Don't every try for your kids in this school.

We got a call for Montessori on Saturday and the interview was yesterday. The interview lasted about 5 minutes mostly explaining about how they teach kids and QA for parents.

They were interviewing both KG and Montessori yesterday.

Why are they procastrinating continuously ? I called up NPS KRM in mid Feb and they said they will release the list next week, called up on Friday and said it will be out by end of month. NPS HSR is unreachable on phone.

anyone has any idea when would the results be actually out ?

The receptionist just told they will announce the results in 3rd week of feb and she was not ready to answer anything else. It seems they will call up the selected applicants. @ Abhilasha. They wont pick up the calls. Even at personal visits, they wont give you full details. You can download their admission registration form from their website www.npshsr.com and you need to handover the filled registration form along with Rs 300 in cash. During submission of the form they will inform you that you need not submit the form... more»

During submission of the form they will inform you that you need not submit the form because mostly you may not get admission. This is how the school treats the parents who seek admission in that school. «less
