NATA 2016: Important changes in NATA exam

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of an applicant in the field of Architecture. The NATA exam tests a candidate’s drawing and observational skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a period of time about Architecture. Here are the important changes in NATA exam 2016: NATA Exam - No. of attempts Now NATA aspirants can attempt for a maximum of 5 times within two years from the date of their first attempt. This rule will be applied from 1^st April, 2016 onwards. NATA Valid Score The best score out of the total number of attempts (maximum of 5 times) till date will be considered as the Valid Score. NATA Score Validity period The validity period of the best score will be of two years from the date of the first NATA attempt in 2016 New NATA Registration form Candidates will require to submit a new NATA registration form online at the NATA official website. For every attempt, candidate needs to submit a form and required fee amount. NATA Mark list Candidates can see their ‘best marks’ in the mark list among all his previous attempts (a total of maximum 5). Best Marks for students who wrote NATA exam before 2016 Candidates who have written the NATA exam before 2016 will be allowed 5 more attempts and their ‘last valid score’ will be considered for obtaining the Best Score. The validity of such students’ NATA ‘valid score’ will be 2 years from the date of first attempt in 2016. Previous NATA exam details Candidates who are planning to repeat the test need to mention their earlier exam details as required in the application form while NATA 2016 registration. Cancellation of candidature In case, any candidate is found to conceal information about previous NATA test attempt, the candidate’s candidature will be forfeited and the candidate’s all previous scores will be cancelled and barred from appearing for NATA exam again.
