Firstly, there is NO feild such as HR Planing and Development. Yes, HR planing is done at all levels, from enterprise level (Strategic HR Planning) to SBU (Strategic Business Unit) and departmental level. Firstly, there is NO feild such as HR Planing and Development. Yes, HR planing is done at all levels, from enterprise level (Strategic HR Planning) to SBU (Strategic Business Unit) and departmental level. Basically HR planing at every level is dovetailed to operational plans so that future manpower requirements to cater for increase, decrease, expansion, up gradation (technological or quantitative) competition and environmental issues as laid down or forecasted could be catered for. Once the HR plan is made and approved, the follow up action like fresh induction of manpower or up gradation of existing staff is undertaken in form of training and development activities etc. Therefore, training is essentially a follow up of HR planing.

Plainly speaking HR is short form of human resource. Every individual or human being has capabilities, depending upon age,education and skills (learnt or developed). Therefore your question is vague and probably you want to know about the benefits of acquiring a degree in field of HRM/Pers Mgmgt. Well, if that be the case you are advised to first assess your suitability (in terms of qualifications and inclination) and not be bothered by salary etc at this stage, since HRM being a very vast field with multiple levels and areas of engagements.For your info, to acquire a post grad degree in HRM/Pers Mgmt, you need to, firstly be a graduate, and secondly need to qualify the entrance exam(although many private insts may admint you on other ctriterias too) like CAT etc. Many doubts/ quarries (about the field and future prospects) will get automatically cleared as you pace through the course.

In case you are just a student or employed recently, a training course in HR may not be beneficial add on to your overall profile. But in case you are a well established senior level functionary (preferably in the field of HR) then such a course/training will (depending on the course content and its relevance to particular assignment you are holding ) will certainly add on to your overall skill set. Remember, short training courses/modules are add on to experienced practitioners contingent upon relevance to future assignments, but for entry level/ fresh job seekers, its better to first obtain a regular degree/full time diploma.
