I belong to a family of academicians and was always fascinated by the world of fiction. My father introduced me to the world of classical literature through Russian literary figures like Tolstoy, Chekhov and others. I completed my Ph.D. in literature specializing in Native American Literature. I have been an assistant professor of English for more than 17 years now and have been teaching B. A. in English and M.A. in English for 12 years in a reputed college. My aim in educating students is to equip them to read a literary text fully and make them capable of reading and interpreting a text using various literary theories, I also train the students to write research articles, honing them in language skills, writing skills, organisational skills and research methodology. I awaken the innate curiosity in my students and lead them to finding their own answers, thus equipping them for life-long self learning. My students have broken records in the University ranking in the subject over the years. The innovation and constant updation that I have done in my field is all thanks to my students who are my teachers and from whom I learn new things everyday.
