Painting

"We can anytime learn the different mediums for painting. Creative ideas depend on compositions. Whereas realistic paintings need perfection. A person need not be an artist to judge a painting. A layman can find any painting unconvincing for lack of perspective, depth, right tonal values, refined outlines , any specific mood, smooth flow, colour scheme or a proper composition. The reason is these are the basic attributes of a fine painting and absence of any one of them would make the painting unappealing. In this course I am able to understand and practice these basic principles so as to discipline my self while doing work in future. The basic principles of composition are the same for any medium. Now I find my acrylic and water colour paintings more lively, fresh and appealing. This course is very useful for those who want to purse art as a profession like me. I am still undergoing my training. Sir gives personal attention to every student. There is no hurry to complete the assignment. Though we move on at our own pace initially but gradually we do pick up fast and with full understanding of the concept. As Sawant Sir says it, it is only a science which we must understand to know this art and then nothing is impossible. "

"Excellent My sketching / pencil shading was transformed over a two week-ends course. What i learnt was 'how to observe', and when this is put together with some basic skills (taught at the workshop), everything changed. Although my basic interest is watercolors, my paintings changed after attending the pencil shading workshop. Perhaps some fundamentals are common to all Art forms.
