Ishita Sharma is a renowned film and TV actress, having worked in films like ‘Loins Of Punjab Presents’, ‘Dil Dosti Etc.’, ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ and recently in the hit TV series ‘Kuch Toh Log Kaehenge’ and ‘Dance India Dance’.

She has been trained by Sangeet Kala Ratna awardee Pandita Uma Dogra. She joined Uma ji in December 2007, with no previous training in Kathak, and infact remembers being almost made fun of during her film dance sequences, shot before she began training with Uma ji. Being an actress, she was not really sure about how much time she would be able to devote to Kathak classes, or how long she would continue training, but because of her Guru’s blessings and support, has been able to continue, has performed with Uma Ji at various prestigious festivals in India, and has now devoted herself to the art form.
