It misunderstood as it is difficult to speak. But it's not true. There are many people who are not maharashtrian, migrated to Mumbai for bread and butter. They have been speaking fluent English with perfect accent.
It shows this langauge is very easy if you have one marathi naighbour or friend to practice.
