"“Ms. Ajanta Deb – A sparkling mentor full with knowledge and a kind heart human” “To be a good teacher one should be a good student and learner first” this is the phrase which describes my whole experience of 3 months as a student of Ms. Ajanta Deb. In the month of December 2014 I was looking for a tutor for my IELTS preparation. I visited 2 or 3 professional coaching centres and other tutors who operate from their home. But I did not get satisfaction and belief until I met Ms. Ajanta Deb through “Think Vidya”. In my opinion she has all the qualities of great mentor. Firstly, she likes to understand the level of student in English Language in all the four fields i.e. Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing and then design course of study accordingly. Secondly, she has deep knowledge and understanding of English grammar and rules and has a large vocabulary. It helped me a lot to prepare for IELTS as I got to learn new words, phrases and other basics and fundamentals of English. Thirdly, she always motivated me and boosted my confidence in Speaking Section which was my weak area. Further, I felt that she encourages students to develop a sense of self –belief which is very important not only for IELTS but in other areas of life also. She always manages her students systematically and devotes ample time and individual attention to all the students. Moreover, she is very flexible and ready to change schedule as per student’s convenience. Students can ask questions related to study material for n number of times and she will always be ready to help and explain. She also likes to discuss current affairs, general topics and environmental issues. It helps to build confidence to speak in groups. She has vast experience of teaching. She is fully aware about the pattern, study material and other requirements of IELTS. I still remember that in my first class she spent full 2 hours to explain me the concept of IELTS exam. She took all the sections one by one and described all types of questions and methods/approach to answer them. She taught me the technique of skimming and scanning in reading section, which is very effective and useful. She also explained to go through the questions in listening section and focus on keywords and special events in the recording. In writing Section she taught me the concept of cohesion and clearance, text inter linking, importance of paragraphs and overall coordination of thoughts with the topics in the essays and letter writing. In speaking section, she provided me a vast range of topics and material of different types like cue cards, general questions and discussion part. She tries to develop real exam time environment in the class and take full test of speaking section. In the end, she rates the student’s speaking on different aspects like grammar, pronunciation, speed, clarity and range of vocabulary. She is not dependent only on book material but also encourages students to speak in English in their daily life, to watch English news/informative channels and to hear speeches of foreign experts and personalities to improve their hold in speaking. She also has a huge study material available with her for all the four sections and always ready to share with students. In the end I would say that being a student of Ma’am (as I used to call her) is a great learning experience for me to develop skills and get knowledge to appear for IELTS. She is one of the best teachers I have ever seen in my life. She is very supportive, helpful and motivational for me. Apart from that she is a very kind human being. I respect Ms. Ajanta Deb for her knowledge, attitude, humanity and enthusiasm to teach students. "

"Mrs. Ajanta ma'am is a very dynamic person. I really admire her because she's very patient and focused. She's really passionate about teaching children. She gets down and study each student's capabilities and put her hard work according to the student .
