Describing Hindi as the "last hope" of Indian democracy would be an oversimplification. Democracy in India is upheld by a diverse range of factors including its constitution, institutions, civil society, and the pluralistic nature of its society. Language, while significant in cultural and social contexts, doesn't singularly define the strength or resilience of a democracy. It's more accurate to say that India's democracy thrives on its diversity, inclusivity, and adherence to democratic principles rather than any single language

It would appear so if you look at the surface. On the surface, everything is going English way in India not just Hindi all Indian Languages appear endangered. but no, if you know the struggle of Hindi, You would say that Hindi is far better positioned today than it was in 1850, about 170 years ago

Tamil Nadu has not officially banned the Hindi language. However, there have been instances of opposition to the imposition of Hindi as a compulsory language in the state due to concerns about preserving Tamil language and culture. And now days in tamilnadu most of persons trying to learn hindi and in school it's is a compulsory subject.

Hindi is widely spoken throughout India, yet it is not limited to our country. Yes, there are many other places around the world, 20 to be exact, where Hindi has become an official language and many inhabitants prefer to communicate in it.

For example: Fiji, Mauritius, Singapore, Nepal and USA

Is Hindi language meant to unite Indians or to trigger Indians?

Hindi has become a tool in India, it is dependent on people who use it, either to unite or to trigger.

More than schools or Hindi prachar sabhas, it is Bollywood which spread Hindi throughout our country. By watching Hindi movies, we can at least understand some basic Hindi, even though we may not be able to speak Hindi fluently.

When PM gives speech, most of Indians will watch it live, it will be in Hindi.
