IdentityI am the daughter of the veteran music director Dr.Nachiketa Ghosh.
. I had received training under Lt. Pt. A.T. Kanan at the Sangeet Research Academy,Kolkata since my childhood. I am also a disciple of Padmabhibhushan Smt. Girija Devi and have performed with her at various music concerts. Apart from being trained in Hindustani Classical music, I also sing Bengali and Hindi modern songs, and have sung in many TV serials and telefilms. I have 4 Bengali modern-song albums to my credit, tuned by maestros like my father, late Manna De and my brother, Suparna Kanti Ghosh, the music composer of the legendary song " Coffee House er sei adda ta aaj aar nei".
I have performed all over the United States of America (New York, New Jersey,Boston, Washington DC, etc.) with Padmashree Manna De, the legendary singer, and sang both solos and duets with him. I have also conducted numerous workshops in classical and modern songs in India and abroad.
I am involved in teaching and have few students, ranging from 5 year old to 65 year old. I teach both Hindustani Classical music and Modern songs in Bengali and Hindi. I am currently working on my next album based on Tagore songs.
