1999 - 2003: I taught bhajans, patriotic songs and light music to children for functions during Durga Puja, Ganesh Puja, Independence Day and other celebrations. 2004 - 2005: I taught vocal music at Green Lawns Public School, Bangalore, to students aged 8 to 10. 2005 - 2010: I taught vocal music long-term to three adult students. With an emphasis on cultivating new singing habits, using a basic musical instrument (harmonium) and active listening, I managed to develop their skill for tune and rhythm. 2010 - 2013: I started teaching a few children light music to increase musical appreciation. These students went on to learn the basics of Hindustani Classical with me and became my first students in my music school. 2014 - 2019: I established and ran my Music School in Bangalore and have a good track record of my students successfully being trained to pass beginner and intermediate stages of vocal music exams. 2019 - 2020: I taught four students online, both from India and abroad, and identified efficient ways to translate musical training into this remote format.
