I normally talk with my hands. It makes me self-conscious when I'm giving a speech and sometimes makes me lose my train of thought. Are there techniques I can use to keep my hands from going all over the place when I'm speaking?

Always keep your hands near your chest level, it should look like triangle. Keeping your hand there start speaking. Initial stage hands might move a bit but slowly and gradually you will see things are improving. Success chance simply 100%.

Hello all tutors, I have recently started taking Spoken English tuitions at home. Right now I am teaching from the books of an institute which I know. Wanted to find out some good study material for one to one tuitions, something which can have a practice / self study section as well. Would be nice to hear from all you experienced tutors. If book has translation exercises then please never follow that... (I personally believe) .... and last... ...more

(I personally believe) .... and last also practise Public Speaking, because sometimes it is seen that we are speaking well with ourself or friends or the close ones but when we come across any stranger group where we need to present ourself, we feel nervous... so you are already playing hard but take some help and play smartly also! Thanks!

I have been conducting humour-based and value-addition programs for schools, colleges, banks, corporates, summer camps, birthday parties, etc. But, it is becoming increasingly difficult to focus both on marketing the program and conducting the same. Could some of the corporate trainers like to associate, on a revenue-sharing basis, in taking up the responsibility of marketing the programs? Just for information, I have conducted a variety of programs in 257 schools, about 25 colleges, Reserve Bank of India and some other banks, and a few corporates (both regular and under CSR).
