CALCUTTA CHESS ACADEMY has been providing scientific & methodical chess coaching to kids of West Bengal since the year 1992. It is playing a key role in the development of chess in West Bengal. During the past 24 years, Calcutta Chess Academy has produced a number of International Masters & Champions in National / International levels. It is headed by Mr. Shyamol Dutta, the only N.I.S.-Trained National Chess Coach of West Bengal who introduced group chess coaching first time in West Bengal 40 years ago. This Academy is affiliated under Kolkata District Chess Association, affiliated to Bengal Chess Association. Since the beginning, this Academy was operating in North Kolkata only.
