Which book is referred for electromagnetics?

There are lots of book but I personally preferred David J Griffith and J.D Jackson slot. Behind this we can follow Feynman lectures on physics elements of electromagnetism by Matthew and a treatise on electricity and magnetism by Maxwell.

Speed is distance per unit time and velocity is also distance per unit time. What the is the difference between the two ?

Actually speed is the distance per unit time where as velocity is the displacement per unit time. As the distance implies only magnitude hence it is a scalar quantity and so speed is a scalar quantity where as displacement is a vector quantity as if it has both magnitude and direction and hence velocity... ...more

Again one thing to be remembered that distance and displacement are not exactly same there is a slight difference between them and which makes them a completely different physical quantities. Displacement is the distance between the initial and final position of a traversed body it may be even zero but distance will never be zero. Hope you understand the answer very clearly to the depth.
