Fullerene is an allotrope of carbon. It usually appears as football joining carbon with each other covalently. For example, C60, which is also called Buckminsterfullerene, were 60 carbon joined together in the shape of a football. Usually other two allotropes diamond, graphite are in the form of sheets, but fullerene is a sphere. In graphite and fullerene carbon is present in sp2 but in diamond, it is present in sp3. Comparatively, fullerene is less stable than diamond and graphite.

The conversion of Nitrogen (N2) present in the atmosphere to ammonia (NH3) is called Nitrogen-fixation. It is done by bacteria which are either free-living or form a symbiotic association with plants. It happens because the atmospheric nitrogen present is usually a non-reactive molecule which is useless to all. That's why bacteria comes there, and conversion of N2 takes place. It is essential because plants cannot directly absorb N2 from the atmosphere, so the conversion takes place, and they can absorb through there roots.
