The first question is, why do you need them?
Unless you are preparing for any typical exam where they will ask you some vocabs which may be of no use to you in your entire life, it's ok otherwise you can do very well with the day to day vocabs. Amazingly you will find that the maximum conversation that we do is done with the help of simplest vocabs, for example, it's always good to say that it inspires/motivates me instead of imbibing. But in case you are interacting with somebody of your calibre and with sound knowledge of vocabs, trust me, you won't need them too much. Rest is your choice.
Learning never ends, and as suggested, you can choose your suitable way.
