Hi, I am Mahesh kumar, I would like to do coding more and now I know the PHP Technology in the domain of telecom and now I am very fed up with the PHP, as there is no requirement, no growth in the development. when I am in fresher there is no option to join and start my career with PHP even though I got to know what is what and what to learn but now I am very confused. I am having a good experience now in coding and development part how to requirment is and how to solve using coding part now I want to switch the job, but not with the same technology want to learn different technology. As I am enquired every friend who are developers saying , .net developer is saying learn .net start with c# , java developer saying that learn java having more openings, and new technology is HADOOP, as every is telling learn HADOOP Development..Now I am confused what to learn ...as there is no scope in PHP development now a days with the good salary package....Is there any one with well experienced IT candidate ..can tell me what to learn , which technology I have to learn ...Please Help...

You can't figure out which good and great. Stick to one become pro in that and see the opportunities come your way. In present scenario the IT industry is looking for resources who have capability to cross train themselves in order to get visible and get before of themselves than others. For example, if you are pro in PHP then go for a solid programing language like c# or Java. If you learn c# you have greater opportunities learning sharepoint as well. Since things are changing so fast we have to make our self up to date . A systematic approach of learning will definitely help you . Before you go to technologies first decide on what area you are comfortable with ? for example UI development or Back end development or DB side or Data Warehousing etc , Since you have a PHP back ground you can strict your self in to the back end development . For that I would always suggest the Java Stream . Learn basic java Concepts, Advanced Java Concepts and learn a new framework like Hadoop. I would like to tell you that if you want to get a favourable boost in your career, you must go for international certifications. Many companies offer International certifications like Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, CISCO and Adobe. Clearing these International Certification exams, proves your expertize in the specific programming language and add weightage to your CV. I am myself Microsoft Certified Trainer and I have passed many Microsoft Certification Exams such as MCITP (Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional), MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist), MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), MS (Microsoft Specialist), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate), MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist). There are different certification paths available as per the technology. I would suggest you to clear such exams. But let me tell you one thing, you need to study a lot for clearing these exams. It is not that easy to crack these exams. Each exam costs you $80 and it is of 1000 Marks where passing marks are 700 (70% is required to pass the exam). I would recommend you to stay with Php...and keep looking for other good options in your job rather than other technologies....See I am Java/J2EE web and App developer and I believe php, .net and J2EE all r in demand....why don't u look for some freelancing web-sites ?

PHP is not bad technologies at all..there are so many companies which gives better package for php like AGS, ALOHA, E ZEST etc.. But if u still want to move then u cn switch with .NET coz it is easy to learn and has nice packages....
