Coding is not required for production support analyst role. Support work is generally outsourced to Indian companies. If you meant about the onsite opportunities for this role, then I'd say in my 10yrs of corporate experience I haven't seen a single guy going onsite. On-site also it depends on the what technology you are supporting whether it's Security, Cloud, Servers etc. Certifications depend on the techniques, though. There are certifications available on servers, cloud and security etc. and you can take courses on Udemy or Coursera for the same.
Happy learning!

For any Production support/Analysis, Coding is not required at all. So relax ! In future, this experience will help you get a similar job in US but the Culture is completely different in US. You can get any other job too in IT or Non IT regardless of your experience.
If you intend to move to US, you MUST have excellent Communcation Skills and little leadership qualities, I suggest. First thing first, Improve your communication skills while on the job and then Check your Skills by appearing in IELTS kind of exam.

1)Application support
2)Infra Support.
3)Application + Infra Support.
Application Support : Not reuired , but its good to have so that you can jump onto dev partners at any point of time if you get chance so that your career will be more brighter and you will have clear business knowledge on the application with this support.
Infra Support : Its good to have deployment tools knowledge (like Jenkins , K2V , Server related stuff, AWS , cloud etc..) at high level then you can do you job more intresting and strong.
Applicaiton + Infra : Bit technical is reuired to move ahead.
Note : in any role , having technical knowledge is optional. To become more strong , its recommended to have. Its matter of 30-40 days of learning based on your intrest.
Please call me if you have any question still.

Hi Akhil,
For Production/Application Support Analyst, You should know how the process works flow. The process workflow is different from company to company. Every company had its rules and policies.
If you are will to move non-costing platform, i suggest, please choose SAP functional Consultant.
In SAP there are two platforms divided 1. Functional Module & 2. Technical Module
In the Technical Module, you need to know the coding. But in Functional Module not required.
For this, you need to learn the functional module and certification is an option.
If you do the certification, it is a please to your resume.
Thanks & Regards
