How to join band?

Hi Vivek, To join a band you need to be proficient in one of the musical instruments and in case you have a group of friends who are interested in various instruments like guitar,keyboard,drums you can form a band of your own or you can search for upcoming bands who require a musician and join them accordingly. Hope this answers your question.

There are a few approaches to this.

1) You could look around for musicians who want to Jam/Create music that you want to as well. You can look for people around your college/workspace/local gigs and also on online forums like the "Musicians of Bangalore" facebook page.

2)You can put your music on shareable platforms such as facebook/youtube/Instagram and perhaps connect with people who have interests similar to yours.

3)You can also audition for bands. You might see opportunities on the above mentioned Facebook groups where they're looking for an instrumentalist for a band or for gigs. This might be a way in for you into an already formed band.

Also, you should obviously be able to gauge how good you are on your instrument/vocal and also look out for how proficient your to-be bandmates are.

I can suggest you an easy way. 

Almost every city has their facebook group of Musicians. 

For example, I live in Delhi, and there is - Bands Association of Delhi. 

Just put up a post that mentions your skill and prefereed genre. and ask for instrumentalists/ singers to join you.

you can search on google....or..... can make your own band with few of your friends having a music sense!!!!! I think having a music sense is way more important than mastering on an instrument!!!!!! Hope it helped!!!
