JEE is one of the most popular engineering entrance examinations in India. Lakhs of engineering aspirants prepare for JEE with the hope to get into one of the coveted IITs or other top level Engineering Colleges/Programs for B.Tech or B.E programs.
Let’s learn what JEE is all about?
JEE or Joint Entrance Examination is an All-India Entrance Examination conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) for getting into various reputed Engineering Courses across India. It was established by CBSE in 2002 and has replaced the then existing AIEEE and IIT-JEE. The official website of JEE Main is http://jeemain.nic.in/webinfo/Public/Home.aspx
Earlier IIT-JEE and AIEEE were completely two different entrance examinations not related to each other. Only IIT JEE was required for IIT aspirants till 2012. However, now students aspiring to get into IITs, need to take both JEE Main and JEE Advanced (after clearing JEE Main). JEE Main is similar to AIEEE.
