Issac, I have encountered ythis particular question umpteen number of times, and my answer has been the same- How confident were you during the actual test.
Never try to review the Reading and Listening modules. But, you can opt for a review for Writing or Speaking.
Do not review for both because it is unlikley that the examiner has mis-judged so badly.
So, you may review only the 2 modules and since it does cost a lot of money, maybe pay a little more and re-appear for the test.
In case your review is turned down, the money you paid is not refunded but, a successful review will entitle you for the refund.
Good luck, Issac.
read lessYou can go for IELTS revaluation if you really feel you have got lesser band scores that what you deserve. You must pay IDP for revaluation. If you get higher band scores than what you had previously got, then IDP refunds you the revaluation fee. If the scores remain the same as before, then your revaluation fee will not be refunded back. So, you must do with a degree of caution.
read lessIsaac, my answer to your question is- if you want, go for only the writing/speaking module, certainly not for reading or listening. Even for the first two mentioned here, do it only if your trainer is convinced that you had performed well during the training period and the mock tests conducted therein. So, the decision should be the prerogative of the trainer, not you.
When you request a remark, your IELTS test will be remarked by an experienced senior IELTS examiner who is not aware of the original marks awarded for each part - Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking. Your test centre is then notified of the remarked result and if the mark has changed, you will receive a new Test Report Form (TRF).
You can request a remark within 6 weeks of the IELTS test date on your Test Report Form. You can request a remark for the whole IELTS test or for one or more parts (Reading, Writing, Listening or Speaking). Your reviewed results will be available within 2 to 21 days of applying for a remark.
There is a cost for requesting a remark. If your band scores change, the fee you paid will be refunded.
