Yes it's possible but it comes with a extra effort....the thing is u will learn definitely but it takes time....coz online videos conscentrate on one paticular technique and it doesn't give u tips on how to really do that....learning is completely depended on one individual and teacher....if student has enough interest and willing to put effort then he can easily learn,either it is online or through a teacher

It's completely alright to buy online but the thing is u have to buy only after checking the particular guitar in physical I mean go to shop select one well known brand(Clayton,fender,etc) and check the sound there and remember the model type and just buy it online....But most importantly buy it if u r getting a long return policy....ideal is minimum of 30 day return policy....coz u never know what happens to ur guitar in transit...it's a 50-50 quote to buy it.....but I prefer to go to shop....

I don't know the easiest way but the most ideal way is to give at least an hour to ur guitar playing....just understand the technique rather than just trying to play like others....most importantly if ur going through online course u better follow one guitarist,bcoz everyone has different way and approach of teaching...I prefer you to search for "yoursguitarsage" this guy has more than 25 years of experience and he is awesom...but don't just skip the instructions watch and then practice....remember practice is everything in learning instruments.
