For beginner certifications and fresher jobs it's not required but having basic knowledge of programming adds extra points.
But for future or advance certification it is mandatory to know some of the programming languages. If you have a basic-medium understanding, rest can be google anytime, but knowledge always matters.
Having sound knowledge of C, C++, C#, Python, PHP, MySQL, Ruby, GO is always going to give you extra points in the field.
Rest is up to you how you want to proceed with cybersecurity as a career.
