Hi, I am a BTech graduate (CSE). I got a backlog in the last semester, which resulted in a year backlog. So, I was not eligible for any job. So, I joined a BPO. Is it possible to get a job in IT after two years? I have opted for the Machine Learning course. Will it be helpful? Please help, what should I do.

I hope you are in India and hence my recommendation is complete the degree and parallely learn the SQL, so that once you get the degree, with the strong SQL skill set you can enter into Analytical field easily.

If you like coding, prefer to learn languages like Python, R. If you dont like coding but good in SQL and anlytical skills, prefer to learn any reporing tools like Tableau, PowerBI etc..

Hi, I know many people who got backlog in engineering but now they are successfully working in MNCs and earning like anything. My suggestion would first complete your engineering degree and then try to find job anywhere whether it's a small or big company. even though you are not getting any salary then also continue there and get the experience. once you get the work experience then no one ask about backlogs and all going forward. let me know if you need any further help or guidance.

Yes Mahesh. You can join any moment you want at the s/w industry after completing your btech degree.. Then why 2 years ?. Experience in BPO does not count as an experiecne in s/w industry. Currently Machine learning is very popular and have great job opertunies. But you must have deep knowledge on that subject. My adivce is that  you try first on small companies (becuse of backlog)  then  you can switch over to big compnies after you have  experince in that subject.

I dont suggest you to do Machine Learning first. Thats the next level, First I suggest you to become a programmer preferably Python and some DB courses like SQL, Next if you learn ML that would be perfect. Don't get discouraged because of backlogs. No one cares backlogs, everyone cares your understanding about technology

Frankly speaking it doesn't matter what you get into now, because it is your choice to decide how to move up the ladder, getting into BPO doesn't mean life long you have to stay in it, choose the next jumps wisely, as you get experience your skill is what matters than marks or percentages. I got into a call center selling insurance for my first job, and after 9 years i am Technical lead and have people reporting to me. So if ur aim is getting  a job, go get it.
