Now picture a solo dancer, standing very proud, hands on hips, eyes toward the ceiling, castanets tapping out a fast rhythm, and guitars are playing a rapid beat. The dancer (man or woman) swirls about, stomping their feet to the floor. Sometimes stopping like a statue, breathing hard, then again with twirling, stomping, looking very proud and superior. That’s Flamenco.
