The question seems to be based on a misconception. Hindi itself is not "poor" in Telangana or any other region. Telangana primarily speaks Telugu as its official and widely spoken language, alongside Urdu. Hindi is not as widely spoken or used in daily communication compared to these languages in Telangana, which might be why you perceive it as less prevalent. Regional language preferences are typically influenced by historical, cultural, and linguistic factors.

In Telangana, the predominance of Telugu as the native language, along with the region's unique linguistic and cultural history, contributes to the relatively lesser prevalence of Hindi. Here are some key factors:

  1. Primary Language: Telugu is the primary language spoken by the majority of the population in Telangana. It is the medium of instruction in schools and is used in most day-to-day interactions, limiting the necessity and use of Hindi.

  2. Historical and Cultural Context: Telangana has a rich cultural history closely tied to Telugu. The linguistic and cultural identity of the region has been strongly influenced by Telugu literature, cinema, and arts.

  3. Education System: In many schools in Telangana, Telugu and English are the primary languages of instruction. While Hindi is taught as a second or third language in many schools, the exposure and proficiency levels can vary significantly.

  4. Regional Differences: India is a linguistically diverse country, and the prominence of languages varies across regions. In northern states, Hindi is more dominant, while in southern states like Telangana, regional languages such as Telugu take precedence.

  5. Sociopolitical Factors: Language policies and regional autonomy have also influenced the linguistic landscape. Efforts to preserve and promote regional languages have sometimes led to lesser emphasis on Hindi.

  6. Urban vs. Rural Divide: In urban areas, there might be more exposure to Hindi through media, movies, and migration, but in rural areas, Telugu remains dominant.

These factors contribute to the lesser prominence and use of Hindi in Telangana compared to Telugu.
