In India, the state of Tamil Nadu is known for its strong stance against the use of Hindi. The primary language in Tamil Nadu is Tamil, and there has historically been significant resistance to the imposition of Hindi as a mandatory language. This resistance stems from efforts to preserve the Tamil language and culture, which are distinct from the Hindi-speaking regions of India.

While Hindi is one of the official languages of India and is widely spoken in many states, Tamil Nadu has maintained Tamil as its principal language for government, education, and daily communication

Tamil Nadu has not officially banned the Hindi language. However, there have been instances of opposition to the imposition of Hindi as a compulsory language in the state due to concerns about preserving Tamil language and culture. And now days in tamilnadu most of persons trying to learn hindi and in school it's is a compulsory subject.

 Tamils generally have a strong cultural identity and pride in their language, Tamil. Some Tamils may feel that Hindi is being promoted more than their own language, which can sometimes lead to mixed feelings about Hindi. It's a complex topic with varying opinions, but language is such an important part of identity for many people.

Hindi and Urdu are two different languages, but they share many similarities. Both languages are spoken in India and Pakistan. They have similarities in grammar, vocabulary, and many words, but they use different scripts. Hindi uses the Devanagari script, while Urdu uses the Nastaliq script. Additionally, some words are different in Hindi and Urdu.

So, while Hindi and Urdu have some similarities, they are two distinct languages.

In fact, Article 348(1) of the Indian Constitution permits the use of Hindi, in addition to English, as an official language in the Supreme Court and in High Courts.
