The "Reach Out to Asia" Fender Stratocaster is considered one of the most expensive guitars ever sold. It was sold at a charity auction in 2005 for $2.7 million. This guitar was signed by numerous celebrities, including Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian May, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Pete Townshend, Mark Knopfler, Ray Davis, Liam Gallagher, Ronnie Wood, Tony Iommi, Angus, and Malcolm Young, Paul McCartney, Sting, Ritchie Blackmore, Def Leppard, and Bryan Adams. The proceeds from the sale went to the Reach Out to Asia charity to help victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.
