I recommend acoustic. But you may start with a electric provided you have a good budget. Good gears sound good. So a entry level electric will cost you 20-30k and a practice amplifier 7k cable 1k. If you budget is under 10k go for Yamaha acoustic guitar. Also you will need guidance of a experience teacher to access and understand all the knowledge that is available in the internet.
