IdentityCurrently, I am pursuing my B.Ed from Amity Institute of Education, Amity University, Noida. Before pursuing B.Ed, I have done my graduation in BA Programme in which my main disciplines were German and English Literature.
For my training in the teaching field, I have done an internship in an NGO called Love Care Foundation where my work was to engage students in co-curricular activities like painting, drawing, educational games for their holistic development. Another Internship was in a proper school set up, Amity International School, Vasundhara where my work was to shadow my mentor teacher, observe their teaching methods and how to make effective lesson plans incorporated with various activities. The school organized various workshops for us in Art & Crafts, Jolly Phonics and how to enhance ICT skills. In my last Internship, I worked with a government-aided school, Sant Yuvraj Inter College where I taught classes from 5th-9th. In this school, I mainly concentrated on teaching English as many students were not confident with their English skills. To make English Language fun and easy for the students I incorporated various English Language related games which would help the students to enhance and vocabulary and pronunciation skills.
In my other experiences, I have recently visited the United States of America as a part of my observations of schools and observed schools in two states- New York and Missouri. In observations, I learned that schools in the USA were much different than schools in India. The schools/Teachers they were much of a facilitator for a student rather than a lecturer. These observations in schools were a great exposure to learn about various teaching methods.
