I have filled a form and submitted in Gear with my daughter's record sheet for 5th grade admission. No idea what to do next, other than waiting. I heard I should've submitted a write-up along with the form; is that why I'm not contacted back? How did you all hear back from the school? What was the criteria for selection? No Thanuj i am not a part of GEAR school. I am just a happy and satisfied parent whose kids go to GIIS. My daughter who is allergic to eggs has had not a single accident or episode in school. They pack in cookies which they are not sure is eggless with a note and explain to my daughter. Everyone knows her by name and before she even entered UKG last... more»

No Thanuj i am not a part of GEAR school. I am just a happy and satisfied parent whose kids go to GIIS. My daughter who is allergic to eggs has had not a single accident or episode in school. They pack in cookies which they are not sure is eggless with a note and explain to my daughter. Everyone knows her by name and before she even entered UKG last year she knew addition and enjoyed math. Not by Rot but interesting techniques which kept her interest levels high. Yes they are rude and yes they can do somehting better with infrastructure but looting and cheating, never with me or my other friends...very involved very thorough...every school has issues, theirs are still manageable...excellent results this year and last year. You can always write to the principal in case of issues, he is known to give a godo hearing every time. He has done that with us always.

PS - Lakshmi is just an admin employee. She has no decision making authority. Suggest you speak with the mgmt / princi

I must also add that the language exposure and interest in reading and math is thanks to GIIS. GEAR is as good or as bad as other school. Others might talk to you politely and have their PR machines may do a godo job but eventually if its about just your child and the exposure he / she gets and the way he or she gets handled...GEAR will not give you any complaints more»
