Journey My grandfather encouraged us to paint Goddess Laxmi on the wall during Diwali; this is my oldest memory of my creative self. I never dreamt of being an artist, but as a kid, I was always inclined toward painting and even participated in various school-level competitions. I'm from Patna, India, and almost every child goes for engineering or medical. I was no different. I completed my engineering in Information technology in Indore and moved to Pune to work as a software engineer. I worked in top IT companies for a decade, and suddenly, the forgotten love for art came back, searching for me. I started my journey as an artist in early 2019 and eventually became a full-time artist in 2022. Who I'm Hi, I'm Mohini Sinha, a self-taught acrylic artist. I love creating realistic paintings of nature, be it beautiful mountains, breathtaking sea scapes or peaceful birds chirping their way to eternal calmness. I primarily paint using the acrylic medium on all sizes of canvas, paper and even on tiny magnets. I sincerely believe that art can be your primary career; hence, I help those who are starting their journey by teaching them the basics and advanced techniques. I have also taken part in many exhibitions and art fair , in Bangalore, Kolkata , Delhi. I am a Skillshare teacher and have created more than 16 detailed step-by-step tutorials for all levels of learners and helped more than 9,000 students. I also take online and in-person classes/workshops. I sell my original artwork on Etsy and Insta. I also have more than 100 tutorials on my youtube channel. I have my website, where I teach advanced-level painting. "It can be challenging to pursue art as a profession because of the societal norms, but things are changing rapidly with every success story in different artistic fields. I am a resident of Greater Noida, India. Her childhood days happened to be in City beautiful i.e. Chandigarh where she showed keen interest in free hand drawings & making landscapes. Kaur’s love for Art blossomed during her schooling days at Sacred Heart Convent School, Ludhiana in Punjab & eventually did MA in Fine Arts where she got an opportunity to learn portraits, life drawings, compositions, paintings etc. She started her carrier working as lecturer in Picasso Animation College, New Delhi which was in technical partnership with Centennial College, Toronto, Canada. During her stay of more than for 2 years at Picasso she used to teach subjects like Color Theory, Art History to the students of B.Sc. in 3D Animation. One of her most challenging work was a painting in the abstract style namely “He tuned my feet” depicting folk dancers from Rajasthan passionately dancing & becoming one with almighty God. The said painting was acclaimed in countries like Colombia (South America), Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates & Bhutan. Blessed with two daughters which brought her into the teaching profession in few schools & served in few very good institutions like Somerville School, J P International, Greater Valley in Greater Noida for a period of 13 years. Presently she is working as a volunteer in the close vicinity of other artists teaching the upcoming talent, children in particular & doing exhibitions whereby pursuing her desire to paint for the shear love for Art & contribute to society by showing a new prospective of work through paintings.
