Himansh Pandey is a Bansuri (Indian Bamboo Flute) player based in New Delhi, India. He has been studying the nuances of Indian Classical Music since the past few years under the Bansuri Maestro Pt. Rajendra Prasanna ji, hailing from the famous Prasanna family known to have given renowned flautists including Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia. Inclined towards music since childhood, Himansh started with learning vocal music first, and began his journey as a flautist a few years later. Since then, he has performed at various venues in India performing both Indian Classical and his own compositions based on them. He has worked with commercial bands such as Pankh, Ibteda, Vivaan, etc at venues all over India from Hard Rock Cafés to corporate gigs to winning major competitions at IIT Bombay and IIT Kanpur. He worked with Anhad - The Music Society of Keshav Mahavdiyalaya, University of Delhi as the President, and launched three award winning productions in A Capella, Indian Classical Choir and with the first ever Delhi University all Instrumental Fusion band. He's also the recipient of the prestigious The Shri Netar Kapur Scholarship and performed with world music project Ethno in Cambodia and Brazil, where he shared the stage with 40 musicians from 15 different countries. Recently, he released the debut single from his first album, titled 'Shabbat Shalom', which is a collaboration of 13 artists from India, UK and Israel, directed and produced by Himansh, inspired from his time at Ethno India. Now, Himansh recently attended Ethno Organisers Annual Training 2019 in Paris, France and is working on the release of his flute based instrumental album.
