Identity- I have thirty years of enriched teaching experience. Out of which,twenty-five years were at Delhi Public School Ramakrishna Puram, New Delhi and the remaining at Nasr School,Hyderabad.
- Prior to my school teaching experience,I worked as a Lecturer in Miranda House College, Delhi University.
- I am an M.A ( History Honours ) from Miranda House College and a B.Ed from Osmania University, Hyderabad,with English as a subject.
- At DPS,RK Puram I taught History and Social Studies to students from classes X to XII.
- I was promoted as Headmistress ( Middle School ) at DPS RK Puram and subsequently was made Headmistress of DPS ,Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, ( Junior School of DPS RK Puram ) ,from where I have now retired.
- I have valuable academic and administrative experience of teaching,tutoring,guiding,counselling and mentoring students and teachers in every aspect of meaningful education.
- I believe in student -centric learning,where the focus is to adapt a teaching style that best suits the student. Eg,some students are Visual learners,some are Kinesthetic (Hands - On ) learners,some are Auditory learners and many others are a combination of all of the above. Learning will,therefore,be faster,more permanent,successful and fun if instruction is adapted to suit the students needs.
- I believe in keeping the learners motivated,encouraging creative,out-of-box thinking through story telling,humour,role-play and visuals. When students are not bored,they will look forward to their next class and they will become life long learners.
- I am committed,result-oriented, patient and dependable towards any task I undertake.
- I look forward to interacting with students and fulfilling their desire to becoming fluent and proficient in the English language.
