Btech is a 4 year graduation degree, for which u have to clear 12th with PCM and min 60% marks. engineering diploma is nt a degree , its 2 year course its also called ITI or polytechnic.

B tech is a 4-year course one does after 12th, whereas engineering diploma is a 2-year course one can do after 10th or 12th. Along with that, one can also pursue engineering after diploma. In that case, the student gets direct admission in second year of engineering.
