A lead magnet is the most powerful things you can create to capture leads. But did you know most people do it wrong?
When creating a lead magnet, there is a 2 step formula you must follow which is pretty simple to get your targeted audience at the lowest possible price.
I call it the Edible Desire Method.
On one side we have how desirable something is. How bad do you really want it?
On the other end - how easy is it to consume. Will it be fast? Quick? Or take hours.
So what we do with the Edible Desire Method is to take a look at some common lead magnets in today's Facebook Advertising.
1. Webinars - the desire for a webinar is high. Most people love to learn by watching someone else teach. However, it's not easy to consume. You have to jump through hoops. Then wait for it to start. Then wait another hour or so before it's finished.
2. Ebooks - the desire isn't high. Ebooks are old and outdated. This isn't 1999 anymore. However, it's super fast to consume. Doesn't have a lot of content so it can be read quickly.
So far we have a high but low consumable lead magnet. Then we have a low desired but highly consumable lead magnet. What's the middle ground?
3. Walkthroughs - A walkthrough can also be called a guide, template, swipe file or cheat sheet - it's all the same thing. I call it walkthrough because it's highly desired and it can be consumed very easy and quick.
