Overview

I am a music teacher in Kulachi Hansraj Model School, where I have approx. 20 students of 7th and 9th standard in each of my class. I am handling 11 sections of each standard since last two years & continued classes online during pandemic lockdown as well. I am taking home tutions of 5 students from last 7 years and oline during lockdown. As far as my academic backgoung goes, I did B.A in Music from "ALLAHABAD UNIVERSITY" with the help of my institution "sangeet vandana" and gained following degrees: Sangeet Prabhakar in Hindustani Classical Music and senior Diploma in Light Music (Semi Classical). Participated in many competitions such as inter school organised by my acedamic school and kulachi hansraj as well, annual functions, functions organised by institute and school.
Currently pursuing "MASTERS IN MUSIC " from "Indira kala Sangit Vishwavidyala" CHATTISGARH UNIVERSITY.

Is Khayal famous in Hindustani music?

Hi Neha! Absolutely Khayal is the most famous form of Hindustani Classical Music. Mainly in Khayal, there are so many ragas and each ragas has its own swaras. Basically there are two types of khayal and that is Bada Khayal & the other one is Chota khayal.

What preparation should I do as my daughter is going to Class 1 (CBSE) in Delhi from junior KG in Mumbai. I am too much worried for her studies as the syllabus and all is quite different.

Hello Shilpa! I think you don't need to be worried about her because she is in a minimal class right now & she will catch quickly because children have an excellent capability of catching things as compare to ours. So focus on her writing part, learning rhymes reading & all.
