Overview

I have a healthy mix of having worked with some of the most prestigious corporate organisations (like PwC, Neeyamo etc) and having taught in schools (Don Bosco, Park Circus - Kolkata; Our Lady Queen of The Missions, Park Circus - Kolkata) and in MBA colleges. I am an English Language Graduate from the Kolkata University plus have finished my MBA from IMT Ghaziabad. Additionally I have completed a course from XLRI.

I have worked in the corporate sector (for 15 years) across a gamut of industries ranging from advertising, healthcare, consulting, HR Operations, Legal to Education. My last assignment was with the RICE group as the Group HR Head.

Currently I am on a sabbatical and have been teaching pro-bono. My core strength lies in my ability to not only teach what is in the textbooks but also to relate it to a larger perspective, thereby helping the students gain complete clarity. My modus operandi (MO) is to help encourage the students how to think and not what to think.

I have had students come to me where they just hated studying Shakespearean plays. But have made it extremely interesting for them so that they begin to enjoy the novel. For History, Geography, Civics and Economics also I have ensured an observation based learning technique with use of reference study. Design thinking,Case study method, Old question paper solving, are some of the techniques that I use. I enable the children to use specific strategies to learn. It is important to explain to the children the reason for the chapters, origin of the context, prevalence and subject. This has always worked with my students.
