About the Course
Whether you own a point-and-shoot or a more advanced DSLR, this workshop will give you a better grasp of your camera and the skills to make your photos stand out from the rest. We will focus on core photographic concepts with guidance on images you create along with basic digital image editing techniques.
Topics Covered
Know your camera and what it can do for you, Learn principles of composition, Fundamentals of exposure (Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO, metering), Learn about play of light to create drama in photos, Learn different styles of photography- black and white, color photography and white balance, Learn basic digital image editing techniques, Captioning your photos, Discover the work of famous photographers and Learn how to click photos for “Wow” effect.
Assignments will be given after each class to practice the theory. Regular review and feedback on your photos will hone your skills manifold.

What you need to bring
You are required to have either a compact digicam / DSLR (any). An advanced camera or an SLR is NOT a prerequisite. It does not matter which kind, though full manual exposure controls are helpful. Having RAW capability is nice but not essential. You would require access to a computer with Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Bridge.
